First aid on the road

CEOS Safety offers you

​

  • Lecturers with up-to-date knowledge and skills in the subjects taught, indeed our trainers are all active members in the urgent medical aid in Belgium or operational member of the fire service. CEOS also has appropriate resources, teaching and training materials.

  • Basic training courses based on a 4 hour program.

Road rescue

Candidates who must follow the first aid training, referred to in article 2.2.14 of the decree of 29 March 2018, can only start it after having passed the theoretical examination of the Brussels-Capital Region referred to in title 3, chapter 1 of the same decree.

This condition does not apply to persons who are exempted from the theory test under article 28 of the Royal Decree of 23 March 1998 relating to driving licences.

Art. 9.2.3. The theoretical and practical part of the first aid training referred to in article 2.2.14 of the decree of March 29, 2018 covers at least the following subjects:

  • Essential rules of intervention in the event of a traffic accident;

  • External bleeding;

  • Unconscious victim breathing;

  • Unconscious victim not or not breathing normally;

  • Skull and spine trauma;

  • Limb injuries;

  • Wounds;

  • Burns.

Art. 2.2.14. The candidate follows, prior to the practical examination, first aid training. This training is aimed at the rules relating to the granting of first aid, including first aid, vital and non-vital, in road traffic.

This training includes a theoretical part, which can be followed remotely, and a practical part of a minimum of 3 hours.

The measures for implementing this training and the exemptions are determined by the Minister in charge of Road Safety.

A certificate is issued after completion of this training. The certificate model is determined by the Minister in charge of Road Safety. The certificate remains valid for two years.
